Deforche parent rescues Thermoflor after bankruptcy
Thermoflor, whose parent company Grimbergen went bankrupt in October, is to continue trading as Thermoflor Construct BV under the proprietorship of KSPL, owners of leading commercial glasshouse makers Deforche.
Thermoflor counts Bents, Rosebourne and Garsons (below) among its UK garden centre customers.
KSPL Holdings, whose brands include Deforche, Deforche Construct and Forzon, reached agreement with administrators to re-launch three of Grimbergen’s four divisions under the Thermoflor Construct name.
Steven Deforche, director of the KSPL holding company, said: “The acquisition of Thermoflor is a nice addition for us on the Dutch, German and Scandinavian market as well as in the United Kingdom. The intention is to further develop and expand these markets under the name Thermoflor. We also see good opportunities for synergy between our various companies within the holding company.”
Thermoflor will continue to operate from Heerlen in the Netherlands.
