Next is planning to open a huge new home and garden store in Plymouth selling fashion, homeware and DIY products - the first of its kind in the South West - creating 156 new jobs.
The retailer is investing £6million in the store which will be built opposite its current site at Marsh Mils - if plans are approved. Next says its store at Drake Circus will be unaffected by the huge new out-of-town shop. The shop is part of a new concept being rolled out by the Midlands-based retailer. A spokesman said: "Next aims to deliver an attractive and striking building with an interior design and layout that will provide an exceptional shopping experience." The store will feature a huge range of Next fashion alongside a homewares department, a DIY store and a garden centre. A public exhibition is to be held at Next's current Marsh Mills and Drake Circus stores.
