Seven brave adventurers set to conquer Kilimanjaro for the Greenfingers Charity!

The Greenfingers Charity has announced that seven incredible individuals have already signed up to take on the challenge of a lifetime – climbing Kilimanjaro, the legendary ‘Roof of Africa’!

Leading the charge is Greenfingers ambassador and fundraising powerhouse, Kate Ebbens. Joining her are Heidi Towse, Jodie Rowlandson, Daniel Rowlandson, Alexa Blackmore, Sarah Edmondson, and Bob Marley.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is no easy feat so the fact that seven are so willing to do so in the name of the Greenfingers Charity is testament to the unrelenting support the charity enjoys. Standing at an elevation of 5,895m, the seven-day ascent will push participants to their limits, with summit night being the ultimate test of endurance. The reward will be breathtaking views, a life-changing experience, and the knowledge that every step taken will support the incredible work that Greenfingers does to create therapeutic garden spaces in children’s hospices across the country.

Organised by the expert team at Charity Challenge, the guided trek will take the brave Greenfingers seven through Kilimanjaro’s diverse landscapes. The journey starts in the lush Lemosho Glades rainforest, climbs to the stunning Shira Plateau, and navigates the dramatic Southern Flank before tackling the Barranco Wall. The final push to the summit via the Barafu Route will be a moment to remember forever.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Greenfingers Charity, said: “Seeing seven amazing individuals already committed to this challenge is truly inspiring. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a monumental undertaking, requiring months of preparation and incredible perseverance, but the impact it will have on the children and families we support is priceless. We cannot wait to see even more people join our adventurers and help take Greenfingers Charity to the top of Africa.”
