Gardman have been using the Greenfingers "Old into Gold" scheme to raise funds for the charity as part of their business recovery process, with nearly £7,000 raised so far.

After the fire which completely destroyed the Gardman warehouse and distribution centre at Daventry in March, a key part of their business recovery process was the re-commissioning of the old warehouses in Kings Lynn.  With less space available and no racking in some of the buildings, Operations Director Paul Young needed to free up as much space for new stocks as possible.  That's where Greenfingers "Old into Gold" became part of the solution.

W&H Peacock, the auctioneers, have notified us that the excess old Gardman products have already raised over £6,800 and they still have around 50 pallets left to auction in the next month. 

Paul Young told GTN Xtra: "We have been working tremendously hard to recover our business from the devastating fire we had in March but are delighted that we've raised this amount for Greenfingers at the same time, and hope that the remaining stock increases the overall total significantly."

The Greenfingers "Old into Gold" scheme its a great GREEN way for garden industry suppliers to get rid of unwanted stock and raise much needed funds for  more Greenfingers gardens to be built at childrens hospices across the UK.
