Bents look for new general manager

Warrington-based Bents Garden & Home is looking for a new general manager to take on day-to-day responsibility for the £20m turnover business.

Bents employs more than 400 staff to handle an average annual footfall of 1.5 million, a figure expected to rise significantly following the expansion.

The centre’s vision is to become ”the ultimate garden, home and leisure destination”.  The third and final phase of its long-term development is still in the pipeline.

Matthew Bent said:  “Whoever joins the team as our new general manager will join us at an exciting time as we start the planning process for our next stage of development. They will have the opportunity to help grow and develop the most recent additions to the business whilst also helping to shape our future.

“As a family run business we offer a very different prospect to a national chain but we are a business with huge ambition and one where our management team feel they can really make a direct difference.”
