BHETA expands export committee

BHETA has added two additional members to its export committee as part of a renewed push on overseas trade. This follows on from the appointment of Spear & Jackson’s Export Sales Director, Steve Turner as the committee’s new Chair.

Export Sales Manager of Captivate Brands, Daniel Wright, and Tim Joslin, EMEA Sales Director at Lifetime Brands have added their considerable experience to the BHETA Export Committee, which exists to encourage and enable BHETA members to start exporting or to build their existing export business.

Daniel is a well-known figure in the housewares industry with over twenty-five years’ experience in the sector.  He joined Captivate Brands earlier this year following senior sales roles at Dayes.  Prior to that he worked as Head of International at Lifetime Brands Europe where he was employed for over twenty years.

Tim has substantial experience of working in export markets in his role at Lifetime Brands and previously as Commercial Director at FKA Brands. He has worked in the small electricals and housewares industry for over twenty years with previous sales roles at Jackel International, Amefa, Le Creuset, Richardson Sheffield and Fiskars. Tim has managed, developed, and motivated teams across multiple markets including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Nordics, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Commenting on the latest additions to the committee, Will Jones, BHETA’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Both Tim and Daniel bring fabulous experience to help push the export committee forward.

“I strongly believe that BHETA can help members to develop export sales, from whatever start point.  Export is figuring highly on the agenda for 2025.”

The BHETA Export Committee works with Government departments and the international Chambers of Commerce to explore opportunities for overseas missions, international shows, and grant availability in support of such opportunities.  It also has a raft of business service providers who can help with the practicalities of selling product to overseas markets.
