Celebrating 20 years of the Garden Press Event

The Horticultural Trades Association and GIMA are excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Garden Press Event in 2026, with visitor bookings opening today for this milestone exhibition.

The one-day event, at the Business Design Centre in Islington on 17 February 2026, is a must-attend diary date for press and media professionals. It attracts hundreds of members of the garden press and media each year and has been a springboard for numerous successful companies and products.

Exhibitors showcase a wide variety of gardening products, while established businesses and brands from across the sector are on hand to meet the media and plan content for the year ahead. There are also awards for ‘Best New Product’, which are decided by votes from attending press members and throughout the day, there will be regular sessions with key industry spokespeople (more details coming soon!).

Fran Barnes, Chief Executive of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), said: “The HTA is a proud partner of the Garden Press Event, and we are delighted to have been involved in its growth over the last two decades.

“It is an essential date in the horticultural calendar each year, kicking off the start of a new gardening season, and it is an event that offers an exceptional platform for industry professionals and media to connect, exchange ideas and spark creativity.

“As a hub for inspiration and innovation, we’re looking forward to welcoming journalists and influencers to discover the very best advancements and industry stories for the upcoming year. The 2026 event looks set to be an extra special one in this important milestone year.”

Vicky Nuttall, Director of GIMA, added: “GIMA has been involved with the Garden Press Event from the very beginning, and we are incredibly proud to serve as its custodians as we celebrate its 20th anniversary. I’ve personally attended since the beginning, so it’s a pleasure to be able to mark such a significant milestone.

“This event continues to provide an invaluable platform for brands to present their latest innovations directly to the media, showcasing the creativity and expertise that drive our sector forward. My sincere thanks go to Guy Burtenshaw and Richard Jackson, whose vision and foresight established this event all those years ago and set it on the path to the success we’re celebrating today.”

The Garden Press Event is exclusively for verified journalists, influencers, bloggers, vloggers, and members of the media. Entry is free, but registration is required.
