Johnsons have donated over £3,900 to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust this season, through sales of their Mixed Bumblebee Friendly Flowers seed packets.
Helen Clayton, Brand Manager at Johnsons said "We have worked with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust for over 10 years, contributing more than £40,000 to help fund their vital work. This couldn’t happen without the generous support of our customers who buy the Johnsons Bumblebee Friendly Flower packets, so a big thank you to them!”
Bumblebees are dependent on the right kinds of flowers for food and the varieties in the Johnsons Mixed Bumblebee Friendly Flowers seed packets are all carefully selected to attract bumblebees and other pollinating insects into the garden. As well as providing a food rich habitat, the lovely mix of annuals and perennials creates a colourful display from late Spring to early Autumn. 25p from each packet sold is donated directly to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
Tessa Brooks, Senior Fundraising Officer said “A huge thank you to Johnsons Seeds for your fantastic donation of £3,965 through sales of Bumblebee-friendly seed packs and your wonderful customers who have purchased them! Every flower that grows from these seeds is an oasis which provides nectar and pollen for bumblebees in the UK. Together with the latest, generous donation, you are helping our amazing, fuzzy little winged warriors contribute to our food production, biodiversity, natural environment, and inspire more people to choose bee-friendly flowers.”
