Gardening activity springs into life

Garden product sales, particularly gardening activity items, sprung into life last week.

Twelve of the GTN Bestsellers Top 20 that are gardening activity based as opposed to garden lighting increased their sales volumes with lawn care and plant food products the main beneficiaries.

Key garden lighting lines also increased sales. If the Gardman Daffodil Wild Bird Feeders were classified as decorative garden products instead of Wild Bird Care they would have topped the charts for another week.

This week's highlights were:
  • Scotts Miracle-Gro Slow Release Azalea, Camellia & Rhodo Food 1kg was the highest climber, jumping 28 places to No 19.
  • Woodlodge Spang Pot 4” was the highest re-entry at No 20.
  • Smart Solar Retro Solar Lightbulb was the highest new entry.
