Rose Festivals across the country have provided a boost to sales and in the second week of June Roses climbed to No 3 in the GTN Bestsellers plants chart on the back of a 35% increase year on year.

That growth in sales of roses helped deliver another week of plant sales increases, up 21% on the same week last year. Plant sales volumes are now up by 6% cumulative for the year to date.
Peter Seabrook, who led the call for Rose Festivals to be held in garden centres was seen out at Millbrook Gravesend last week, helping sell some plants while he was there.
Prettiest rose competitions have been held at many centres including Scotsdales in Cambridge.
