Christmas at two Klondyke centres raises £4k for charity
Christmas activities at two Klondyke group garden centres have raised £4000 for charity.
Donations by customers enabled Byrkley Park Garden Centre’s animated singing reindeer and Mortonhall Garden Centre’s miniature village to achieve the total.
The funds have been donated to St Giles Hospice, which is local to Byrkley Park in Rangemore, and the MSA Trust, the Klondyke Group’s charity partner.
The festive village at Mortonhall, Edinburgh, featured more than 100 toy characters taking a ski lift, riding merry-go-rounds and sledging down snowy slopes. The display was created with miniatures from the Lemax range, so people could recreate parts of the village in their own homes.

Matthew Bailey, Mortonhall centre manager, said: “Thank you again to our customers who donated this amazing amount of money to our charity partner. The display has been visited and enjoyed by so many over the few months and we are delighted that we can pass this donation on to the MSA Trust.”
