The Old Railway Line recognise long service

Seven members of staff at a Powys garden centre are celebrating after clocking up more than 86 years of dedicated service to the business between them.

The longest serving members at The Old Railway Line Garden Centre are Mark Harding, Garden Care Supervisor and Huw Lewis, General Manager (pictured above).

Katie Cleary, Shop Manager at The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, which is located at Three Cocks near Hay-on-Wye, said: “Mark has clocked up 18 and a half years and Huw has completed 16.

“Kate Dewan, Plant Area Supervisor, is another of our long servers and has notched up 12 years of service. Steph Dewan, who deals with our admin and HR and Emma Williams, Restaurant Manageress, have each been with us for 11 years and Garden Centre Assistants, Nick Smith and Jill Fawke, who have both served nine years.

“We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of our long serving members. Their dedication is greatly appreciated and their experience is invaluable to us and our customers.

“We look forward to working with them for many more years to come.”

The award-winning, independent family-run garden centre was established in 1990 by owners, Mark and Christina Cleary.
