Growing media sales indicate good season ahead
If as Peter Seabrook wrote in the Sun – growing media sales are the best indicator – then last week’s sales figures point to a good season ahead.

The last three weeks of growing media sales are up 46% up on last year and level with 2011 – remember 2011 was a bumper year for this sector of the market.

Gro bags are starting to sell through, and this week’s Growing Media chart sees re-entries from Scotts and Westlands. Garden Radio has recorded promos for centres offering young plant and gro bag deals.

All purpose composts are starting to sell in big volumes with Westland still at No 1.
