Buyers of veg seeds and plants made up for lost time after the freeze with volumes up by 172% on the previous week and only 29% down on the same week last year, the smallest deficit of any GTN Bestsellers indecies this week.
Young veg plant sales saw particularly good sell through.
Highlights were:
- Beetroot Boltardy seeds from Suttons re-entered at No 2.
- Suttons Swiss Chard Bright Lights is the highest placed new entry at No 33.
- Quantil Tomato Supersweet 100 8cm is the highest placed young veg plant after the freeze, back in at No 16.
