Seed detective uncovers the secret histories of vegetables

Award-winning film and television producer, Adam Alexander will share tales of seed hunting and the history behind many everyday vegetables as he discusses his latest release, The Seed Detective on Friday 21 October at 6:30pm in Sherborne. In association with Winstone’s Books, this author event and book signing will take place in The Butterfly House at Castle Gardens.

Exploring the world’s rare and endangered heritage and heirloom vegetables, Adam, who has been seed hunting for 30 years and is a board member of Garden Organic, will explain the importance of continuing to grow these varieties and saving their seeds, not only for gardening and culinary pleasure, but to pass these stories onto future generations.

Registration for this free event is via https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-seed-detective-uncovering-the-secret-histories-of-remarkable-vegetable-tickets-414046302637. Doors open at 6:30pm and free refreshments will be provided by The Walled Garden Restaurant, before the event starts at 7:30pm.

The Seed Detective by Adam Alexander will be released on Thursday 29 September and signed copied will be on sale at the event.
