The good

On test, these gloves were a great all-rounder. They performed very well and had many useful features. When undertaking a range of gardening tasks, such as clearing damp leaves, digging, and holding secateurs, the gloves had a sturdy grip and good flexibility. This remained unaffected by water and was thanks to the latex coating on the palm area. While very warm, they most importantly remained breathable. We were also glad to see that they were easy to wipe clean after use. Moulding snuggly to the hands, they're long enough to offer decent wrist coverage too.

Take note

Although these gloves are great for general purpose gardening, when it came to more specialised work we were somewhat let down. While handling prickly shrubbery, such as roses and holly, the thorns easily penetrated the gloves. Although the latex coating on the palm did provide protection against holly, the back of the hand was easily pricked.

GHI Expert Verdict

For those looking for a cosy pair of gloves for general purpose gardening, these are a great choice. They fit well and offer a brilliant, secure grip. The carabiner clip is also a welcome extra that does away with the worry of a misplaced pair.
