Chelsea 2023 - trade and trends

The GTN team had the pleasure of attending the Chelsea Flower Show last week to spot trends that may drive retail sales as the season gets going with warmer, sunnier weather at last.

Purple plants starred across the gardens this year and won the plant of the year: Agapanthus Black Jack

Blue Diamond made their Chelsea debut with Newton's Apple Tree and a Soil Association display

Taylors Bulbs won yet another gold medal for their Grand Pavilion display.

Mr Fothergills had record sales of seeds from their new floral exhibition stand.

Burgon and Ball's new hand tools sold very well at Chelsea 2023.

The Patio Black Spot Company were finalists in the Sustainability Product of the year for Go Ferrous

Amy Stubbs and Eve Kerrigan from British Garden Centres were checking out new ideas for their centres

Bramblecrest further enhanced their market leading position with their exhibit which was always busy.

There were also opportunities to influence key politicians at Chelsea.

And as you'll have seen on the TV coverage there was plenty of re-wilding, wild flowers and even weeds.  Lindum won the Sustainability product of the Year award for their wildflower turf which is plastic free.
