Haskins becomes first garden centre to stock RocketGro liquid feed range

RocketGro has announced that destination garden centre chain, Haskins has become the first garden retailer to stock its exciting brand-new liquid plant feed range. The family-run business, with its roots in Dorset, will carry the full range of RocketGro’s concentrated bottled feeds across all five of its garden centre sites.

The exclusive deal means that Haskins is the first garden centre in the UK to list RocketGro’s liquid feed range, ahead of the products’ hotly-anticipated launch to market at Glee (June 27th-29th, NEC Birmingham) later this month.

RocketGro’s collection comprises five liquid concentrate feeds – Tomato Food, Rose & Shrub Plant Food, All-Purpose Plant Food, Ericaceous Plant Food, and Lawn Feed – all of which are now available to buy at Haskins Ferndown, Roundstone, Snowhill, West End, and Forest Lodge.

The listing is expected to be a big hit with Haskins customers, as the range provides gardeners with a truly sustainable and organic option in the liquid feed category at an extremely attractive price point.

The five liquid plant feeds are offered in 1.5 litre bottles, including a generous 50% extra free during 2023/2024. Vibrant, showstopping packaging really stand out on shelf, thanks to impactful imagery and a clear, compelling message.

All products are chemical free, 100% organic approved, British grown, sourced and manufactured, and are the by-product of renewable energy production. Packaging is also 100% recyclable.

Haskins Lead Buyer Garden Goods, Al Sheppard said: “I am very pleased to be able to launch the full range of RocketGro liquid plant feeds across our stores. Bringing sustainably-produced products, that are British made and organic, to Haskins is an important part of our buying strategy. RocketGro’s eco credentials are impressive and the values that they hold dear are a match for Haskins. The products themselves bring eye-catching design to the shelves, a value proposition to our customers, and an exciting back story that we feel our customers will understand and buy into.”

Haskins fully supports sustainable alternatives to traditional growing products, so that gardeners can continue to achieve success in their gardens and enjoy the wellbeing and health benefits that gardening brings.

Managing Director, Toby Thomas said: “We are delighted that Haskins has become the first garden centre business in the UK to stock our new liquid plant feeds. Having the full range of our organic liquid plant feeds in every Haskins store will make a big impact and ensure the products make an impression from the get-go and have a successful launch. The introduction of these new products is a pivotal moment for RocketGro that takes us a step further towards becoming a full-service growing media producer at scale. We are grateful to Al Sheppard for choosing RocketGro and we look forward to many successful seasons ahead supporting Haskins with RocketGro products.”

The brand-new liquid plant feeds will be officially launched to the rest of the market at Glee this month, joining RocketGro’s existing organic, peat-free line up, including its flagship Magic Mulch, UK’s biggest Tomato & Veg planter, and RocketGro’s impressive River Cottage-endorsed collection of composts.

RocketGro’s recent distribution deal with EP Barrus means that visitors to Glee can get an exclusive first glimpse of the new liquid plant feeds on both the RocketGro (6B50-C51) and Barrus (20D40-E41) stand at the show.
