Know your bestselling onions
As usual for this early in the year it’s onion set sales that dominate in the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro chart.
The top three varieties for early planting are the same as last year – Red Baron, Stuttgarter and Hercules F1 but sales are up by 14% year on year.
Highlights were:
- Taylors Rhubarb Timperley Early is the highest placed re-entry for the week, back in at No 4.
- Mr Fothergills Tomato Gardeners Delight is the highest placed veg seed line at No 7.
- Beetroot Boltardy seeds from Mr Fothergills and T&M drop to Nos 13 and 14 this week after being No 1 and No 4 in the first week of January.
