GTN Xtra Special from IPM Essen in German

The 2025 German international garden trade show IPM Essen, has taken place welcoming visitors from around 50 countries. GTN Xtra's Anisa Gress was there to bring you all the action.

A highlight of the horticultural calendar, it covers eight halls with plenty of retail ideas and too many new plants to mention hinting at a positive year ahead.

Here's just a sample of what GTN found of interest for UK garden centres.

Combining a love of dinosaurs with plants, Mediflora Lehrhuber has created a range of 14cm houseplants sold with a child-friendly cover. Together they tell the story of Flora, a curious girl who makes friends with five different dinosaurs. The story continues on the Dino Snack website where it helps to nurture a creative interest in plants and nature.
