Zest 4 Leisure is to sponsor a hot-air balloon to mark the 25th anniversary of Wrexham-based Nightingale House Hospice.
The company’s logo will feature on the balloon alongside those of a number of other businesses.
It is hoped that the first flight will be at the Oswestry Balloon Carnival, weather permitting.
Based on the number of flights and uses, it is estimated that the hot-air balloon will have a lifespan of between four and six years.
The Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care services, free-of-charge, to patients and families across an area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire, and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch. Zest 4 Leisure has supported both it and a number of other local and national charities for several years.
Zest’s Managing Director, Steve Morgan said, “We were honoured to be approached by Nightingale House to feature on the 25th Anniversary balloon. Supporting charities and the community has always been important to Zest 4 Leisure and we recognise the outstanding work the Hospice does. The hot-air balloon will also be a great opportunity to get all the staff involved watching some ballooning over the summer at various locations.”
Laura Parry, Head of Fundraising at Nightingale House Hospice added, “It’s great that Zest is helping us with this project. It will really enable us to maximise the impact of the balloon in 2021 and beyond.”
