As this issue of GTN Xtra "went to press" news came through from Alexander Mackie of two completed garden centre sales.

British Garden Centres have bought Chapel Garden Centre in St Leonards near Skegness, Lincolnshire to take their number of centres up to 9.Chapel Garden Centre is a freehold circa 8 acre (3.23 hectare) garden centre located on the A52. The garden centre had been owned and operated by the Stevenson family for over 25 years. Included with the sale was a detached 3 bedroom property.

Claremont Garden Centre is a freehold circa 5.589 acre (2.262 hectare) garden centre located on the A414. The garden centre had been owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. Bradley for over 18 years. Mr. & Mrs. Bradley are retiring.
