Wallflowers, Erysimum, were once again the stars for the third week in October. Despite a week when high winds and heavy rain really took its toll on plant sales, Erysimum sales increased by 4.5% week on week to be the only Top 10 plant genus that grew sales.
Amaryllis in the green showed signs of good early Christmas plant sales.
Senecio were the highest new entry with the award-winning ‘Angel Wings’ amongst the genus sales.
Calocephalus, another silver foliage plant, saw a 134% increase to move up 20 places to No 17.
