Cotswold Fayre highlights the importance of stocking premium snacking products

As the nation continues its love affair with snacking, fine food distributor, Cotswold Fayre, highlights the importance of stocking an array of premium snacking products.

Paul Hargreaves, chief executive of Cotswold Fayre says: “We are becoming a nation of around the clock grazers. In fact, recent research* has suggested that almost 60% of UK consumers are skipping meals in favour of snacking throughout the day.”

According to the research, the most likely culprits are young women, with almost 30% saying that they swap traditional meals for snacks.

“The speciality snacking market has benefited hugely from this growing consumer trend. Consumers are on the hunt for more nutritious and premium snacks to replace the nutrients lost from a main meal. This provides a fantastic opportunity for growth for speciality food retailers.”

The fine food distributor is seeking to help retailers identify the latest snacking products with the launch of its July catalogue.

Paul adds: “We are constantly reviewing our catalogue offering, keeping the brands that we know are performing well, and selecting new products that, based on consumer trends, we believe will prove popular.

“We’ve added some very strong snacking products to this catalogue including the english fruit bars from Perry Court Farm, fruit and oat snack bars from Artisan snacks, Mr Filbert’s snack packs of olives and the range of 100% bottle fruit from Froosh.”

The catalogue also features new products from much loved brands The Foraging Fox, Scarlett & Mustard, Belgian Boys and will see the introduction of new brands, Wiltshire Chilli Farm, Lemonaid and Chari-Tea and Phrooti.

The latest Cotswold Fayre catalogue is available to order on 03452-606060 or to download from www.cotswold-fayre.co.uk.
