Fantastic array of plants at Europlants Spring Open Days

Over 500 visitors to the Europlants Spring Open Days were dazzled by a fantastic array of stunning plants on display.

They were welcomed with a smile at reception by staff decked in the colour of the day – royal purple.

The first big display to be seen were examples of bestselling lines arranged on large silver, circular plinths allowing buyers to walk through the plants and gain inspiration from them.

Visitors were then wowed by a collection of multi-coloured recycled metal, cartoon farm animals, complete with flying pigs and bull beer coolers!

There were 130 trolley deals for buyers to view, including an amazing selection of plants for garden centres from Europlants’ Europe wide suppliers;  Aucuba Croton Gold and flame red Nandina from Vannucci: and glossy foliage and buds of large Ceanothus from the UK.

Visitors enjoyed a superb Italian buffet in a ‘dining room for the day’ decked with silver and purple ballons and livery. Those who had bought their raffle  tickets on behalf of the Greenfingers appeal helped raise over £2,000. This figure was boosted by an auction hosted by Garden TV personality David Domoney. The prizes on offer were a meal at the beautiful Grove Hotel, a 4ft Italian chocolate egg and a purple ‘wheelbarrow of booze’.

Out on the nursery customers saw the stunning new tree area that was redeveloped during the winter. To encourage visitors to see all the site, strategically placed ’Hot Spot’ deals offered certain products at very special prices.
