Squire's Garden Centre select winning flowerbed design
Squire’s Garden Centres joined forces with the Environment Agency to invite local school children to design a planting scheme for a flowerbed at Teddington lock. The schools taking part in the competition were Hampton Hill Junior, and Latchmere School, and there were a total of 131 entries. The top 14 children were invited to Afternoon Tea with their parents at Squire’s Garden Centre in Twickenham on Thursday 4th June. The overall winner was Ella Jones, aged 10 from Hampton Hill Junior School. Her winning design has been planted at Teddington Lock, with Squire’s providing all the plants, and it looks absolutely stunning.
She was also presented with a family ticket to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, which takes place on 30 June – 5th July, and where Squire’s Garden Centres will have a Show Garden called “Urban Oasis”.
