GCA confident Wyevale centres will stay in the association

All GCA-member centres bought by the Wyevale group over the past 10 years have remained in the organisation, says chief executive Iain Wylie.
"We have no reason to believe they won't stay as members as long as they continue to pass the annual inspection and as long as they want to remain members," he adds. "The GCA has been growing steadily over the past 10 years despite the consolidation that has taken place throughout this period. We anticipate welcoming another three or four new members in 2015, continuing the organic growth of the association. We welcome applications from centres who like what we do and who will enjoy the benefits of membership." Commenting on Wyevale's expansion, Iain adds: "I have no idea how many more centres will be bought by Wyevale or how many of them will be GCA members. "Wyevale seem to be strengthening their brand, not just through buying more centres to create a physical presence but also with a lot more PR. "I imagine that the new centres will soon be Wyevale branded and they will all eventually develop a similar culture and style. This will give any remaining independents opportunities to differentiate themselves by focusing on the elements of service and product range that a larger national organisation won't or can't do."
