Turnover and profit up at Notcutts in 2023/24

In a year of continuing trading challenge with geopolitical instability, rising interest rates, consumer spending restraint and supply cost pressures, Notcutts saw both sales and profit up during the year. Annual turnover increased by 4.1% to £78.6m with operating profit up at £1.6m. Nick Burrows, Chief Executive said “We continue to provide a strong offering that our customers rate favourably..."

The wonderful impact of the spring Front Garden Facelifts meant that ITV’s This Morning had swathes of deserving applicants from across the country hoping to have their front gardens transformed by David Domoney and his team of volunteers.

Garden centre sales up 8% year on year in August

The latest Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) Market Update for September 2024 reveals garden centre sales were +8% (vs. Aug 23), and garden category sales were +7% (vs. Aug 23). This uplift will provide a welcome springboard for autumn gardening categories such as bulbs in the coming months.
