Early season growing media sales are now at record volume levels – the highest in seven years of GTN Bestsellers January and February analysis.

Multipurpose compost continues to sell well and soil improvers are seeing big growth – manure is at No 5, No 12 and No 30.

Potting and seed composts are also showing plenty of early greenhouse activity.

• Westland Multipurpose (50 litres) continues at No 1.
• The highest re-entry is Vital Earth Farm Manure (50 litres) at No 12.
• Scotts Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost (50 litres) is the highest climber, moving up 23 places to No 13.
• The highest new entry is Arthur Bowers John Innes Seed Sowing Compost (35 litres).
