November’s growing media sales volumes have outperformed last year for the weeks 44 to 47.
GTN’s Growing Media Top 50 volumes are up by 1.3% on the same weeks last year.
Small bags of growing media are the big movers, both of houseplant composts and multipurpose composts – there must be a lot of winter container planting going on.
This week’s highlights are:
Westland Gro-Sure All Purpose Compost, 25 litres, is the highest climber, up 27 places to No 9.
Growth Technology Houseplant Focus Repotting Mix re-entered at No 35 after doubling sales.
Westland Cacti & Succulent Potting Mix sales grew by 150% to be a new entry at No 42.
