Forest Garden confirm acquisition of M&M Timber

Forest Garden Group have bought M&M Timber as part of a long term strategy to strengthen and grow their business.

M&M have a long established and reputable business within the UK garden centre sector which will dovetail smoothly with Forest’s existing portfolio.

The acquisition will also allow M&M to focus on further developing their market leading offer into the landscaping, agricultural and play equipment channels with the direct support of Forest.

M&M’s full product range, developed through its cutting edge timber treatment technology, will now have access to the wider multi-channel markets that are serviced by Forest.

Situated close to each other in Worcestershire, the combination of the two businesses will enable the larger group to fully leverage the market leading strengths of each, with a continued commitment to providing quality and innovative products to the multi-channel markets in the UK.

"We are excited by this new chapter in M&M’s history," said Nigel Poyner, Managing Director of M&M Timber.  “With the support of Forest we will now be able to invest the time and resources needed to develop our more specialist markets that we have for so long sought to focus on.”

Guy Grainger, Group Chief Executive of Forest Garden, said “I am delighted to welcome M&M into our business. The opportunities this brings, not just to M&M but to us collectively, are significant. All of our customer channels will feel the benefit of this acquisition from a wider product and service offer to new innovations from the timber technology now available to the group”
