Great year for garden veg

Veg-2-Gro sales are tailing off, as they usually do in June, but this year’s sales continue to be ahead of last year with the year to date performance for this category sitting at 48.5% up year on year.

It really has been a great year for veg growing in gardens, allotments and in containers. Late tomato plant sales feature in the chart this week:

Highlights were:

  • Quantil Tomato Shirley 8cm moves up one place to be the No 1 bestselling veg plant.
  • Quantil Tomato Totem 8cm is the highest re-entry at No 5.
  • Quantil Tomato Alicante 8cm increases sales by 300% to re-enter at No 19.
