Show Your Colours Award IPM 2024 for garden rose

Garden rose: Rosa Hybrid Plant’n’Relax from Roses Forever ApS, Faaborg (DK), was awarded the Show Your Colours Award IPM 2024 during the IPM 2024 in Essen.

The Garden rose: Rosa Hybrid Plant'n'Relax presents itself as a gift, and the rack from which the rose grows shows at a glance that this is a climbing rose that can be used practically anywhere.

The promised fragrance of the flowers is more than delivered. The brand name tells exactly what the intention is with this product: plant & relax,, according to the professional jury, which awarded the prize together with a public jury. The prize was presented to Rosa Eskelund by Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf on behalf of the IPM organisation, in the BIZZ Holland stand.

Second and third place

Second place went to Cherry Tomato Brown Solanum Lycopersicum, which was submitted by Vreugdenhil Young Plants (NL). First Editions® Eclipse® Bigleaf Hydrangea: Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bailmacseven' EUPBRAF, submitted by Bailey Nurseries (US), finished in third place. The other plants nominated included Camellia 1001 Summer Nights® Jasmine, Discover nature's elegance with Garden Beauties®, Haworthia and Gasteria Mix, Helleborus x Ericsmithii ViV® Olivia, Ilex Verticilata Jingle Bells®, Le Profumatissime della Riviera dei Fiori® (a collection of garden rose varieties), Leucothoe 'Rant01' (FIRESTAR) en Loropetalum chinense 'Pearl' BLACK PEARL.

Judging

The plants and concepts nominated were exhibited in the BIZZ Holland stand in Hall 8 at the trade fair. The visitors had until Thursday morning to vote for their favourite plant/concept using special coins. A professional jury consisting of Sytse Berends, Blunt Communicatieadvies, Helma van der Louw, Hester van Lint and Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf from IPM Essen, judged the entries on Thursday afternoon. The jury's verdict and the votes cast using coins resulted in the Show Your Colours Award IPM 2024 going to Garden rose: Rosa Hybrid Plant’n’Relax.

The Show Your Colours Award IPM 2024 is a collaboration between trade fair organisation IPM and BIZZ Holland.
