GIMA appoints new Membership & Marketing Co-ordinator

GIMA has appointed Angie Lloyd as the trade association’s new Membership and Marketing Co-ordinator.

Angie may be a familiar face to many, having worked within the marketing department at DLF Seeds (Johnsons Lawn Seed) for over seven years. It is this experience that Angie will bring to her new role at GIMA which will see her manage the association’s marketing activities as well as supporting members to ensure they get the most out of their membership.

Working alongside GIMA Director, Vicky Nuttall and Finance Controller, Kate Smith, Angie will be the first point of contact for members, including being part of the organising team for a range of GIMA events including the awards, workshops and conferences. In addition, it will be Angie behind forthcoming GIMA communications and will be representing the organisation at a range of industry events.

Talking about her new appointment, Angie said: “I’m really excited to start working for such a fantastic organisation. GIMA plays an important role within the garden industry, so I am thrilled to now be part of the team ensuring all the benefits of GIMA membership are being taken advantage of. I am passionate about gardening, and I am looking forward to helping to grow, promote, connect and represent our members”

Vicky Nuttall welcomed Angie by saying: “Angie is a superb addition to our team. She knows our industry well and has a real passion for it, as well as the work that GIMA does. I believe she will be a real asset and will be a great cheerleader for our members.”

Angie will be making her GIMA ‘debut’ at the forthcoming GIMA Charity Golf Day (June 8th), closely followed by Glee (June 27th – 29th). To contact her directly to discuss GIMA membership and its many benefits please email angie@gima.org.uk.
