New Webb Eco Cordless Lawnmower voted ‘Best Buy’ by BBC Gardeners World

To mark the launch of its new range of Webb Eco cordless rotary lawnmowers with long-lasting interchangeable advanced 20v Lithium-ion technology, garden equipment manufacturer Webb is delighted to announce it has been presented with 2024 Best Buy status by BBC Gardeners’ World magazine.

Reviewed independently by a team of experts, the Best Buy award is part of BBC Gardeners’ World ‘On Test’ feature. The recent test of lawnmowers involved rating four key areas: set-up, handling, mowing and value for money.

Put to trial with 22 other lawnmowers from well-established brands, BBC Gardeners’ World rated the Webb Eco WEV20X2LM43B4X 40V cordless lawnmower its ‘Best Buy’ of 2024, scoring 4.8/5 for best ease of use. The latest addition to the Webb Eco range was praised for its quiet, comfortable and smooth handling.

Kay Maguire, Reviews Editor for BBC Gardeners’ World magazine said: “Quiet and easy to use, the Webb Eco WEV20X2LM43B4X 40V cordless lawnmower is a durable and sturdy mower with great features, including a long run time of up to 60 minutes.  Featuring three handle heights, the lawnmower is designed to provide a comfortable mowing experience, even over longer and bumpier lawns”.

Supplied with two 4Ah 40V Lithium-Ion batteries and a dual charger, the new Webb lawnmower delivers an impressive 40V of cutting power with a 43 cm (17”) wide cut, durable ABS deck and six cutting heights ranging from 25-75mm.  For added ease, grass clippings can be gathered into a large 50-litre easy-fit fabric collection bag, which offers great airflow and ensures fewer trips to the compost heap.

Also available from the new range is the Webb Eco WEV20LM33B4 20V 33cm Cordless Rotary Lawnmower, which includes one 4Ah battery and charger.  Suitable for small to medium-sized lawns, this lawnmower features a 33cm cutting width and five adjustable cutting heights ranging from 25mm to 65mm.  Featuring a 35-litre collection box, this lightweight model weighs just 12.7kg for a powerful yet compact solution.

To coincide with the launch, Mark Moseley, Handy’s Sales & Marketing Director, comments on this latest achievement: “We’re delighted to have received Best Buy recognition on our latest range of Web Eco cordless lawnmowers.  Receiving this accreditation from such a well-respected title as Gardeners’ World, reinforces the trust that retailers have in choosing to stock our products and gives our customers confidence in their purchasing decisions. To support our latest accreditation, the Best Buy logo will be added to our packaging, and retailers can look forward to receiving stickers to display next to the product in their stores."

Designed for optimal performance with a super-fast battery recharge, the new Webb Eco cordless rotary lawnmower range provides an eco-friendly and cost-efficient alternative to traditional petrol options. Quiet to use and cordless in design, the new range offers complete freedom with no power cables to get in the way or hold you up. Furthermore, as all tools within the range have been designed to be used with the same, easily interchangeable 20v battery, valuable savings can be achieved in running costs.
