Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced soft landscaping Senior Contracts Manager/ Operations Manager to oversee 6 Contracts Managers and 6 admin staff dealing with sites across London and the South East completing landscaping schemes for a wide variety of clients, including company headquarters, new schools and academies, business and retails parks, superstores and industrial estates, as well as ecologically sensitive areas.
The Role
The successful Senior Contracts Manager/Operations Manager will take responsibility for the management of the Contracts Managers and their teams of Landscapers who carry out contracts of between £700k and £900k a month, ensuring that a consistently high level of client satisfaction is delivered and maintained.
The successful candidate will possess a flexible, methodical and conscientious approach and strong managerial skills. Reporting to the Director, this is an important position within the company as they are growing and focusing on customer service and working with larger contractors to ensure they are the first choice of landscapers for all their projects.
Full driving license and current CSCS card are essential.
Responsibility for the management of the Contracts Managers and their Admin team centred around Watford and Enfield, but covering sites throughout London, the South and South East, as far as Milton Keynes and Bristol. Based from their Borehamwood yard they are ideally looking for someone based with the M25
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Dealing with contract negotiations with clients.
- Writing method statements and risk assessments.
- Finding workable solutions to problems as they arise.
- Experience within the soft landscaping industry as a Senior Contracts Manager.
- Experience in overseeing/managing 5/6 Contracts Managers.
- Excellent organisation skills and a fine eye for detail.
- Be numerate with good report writing skills.
- The ability to impart instructions clearly and lead and motivate your team.
- Be a good problem solver.
- Able to prioritise and manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Have a flexible and methodical and conscientious approach.
Salary: Circa £45,000.00 depending on skills and experience, plus bonus
