Dao by Dorsett West London launches Plant Library

Dao by Dorsett West London, a 4 star aparthotel overlooking the green in Shepherds Bush, has launched a fun and innovative plant library for guests.

Guests can choose any plant from the library (which is located in the Lobby) and place it in their room to care for it during their stay. They can also scan a QR Code which gives them a simple care guide to their favourite plant. Plants to choose from include Birds Nest Ferns, Rubber plants, Parlour plants, and succulents like Aloe Vera, Jade plant and Snake plant.

Inspired by the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the plant selection also includes some unusual houseplants, such as the succulent Aeonium and native plants including Roses and Daisies. Key trends from Chelsea this year were drought resistant plants such as succulents that require less water, as well as native plants that thrive in the British climate. As we head into the summer months Dao by Dorsett wants to highlight the benefits of being surrounded by nature, whilst maintaining their commitment to sustainability.

Chris Meehan, Area Commercial Director UK at Dorsett Hospitality International said: “We want to add some fun and some greenery to guests’ rooms. The health and wellbeing of our guests is very important to us, and houseplants are well known to improve people’s mood, reduce stress levels and increase productivity, as well as improving the overall air quality. As many of our guests stay for a few nights or more, we thought it was important for them to choose their favourite houseplant to add to their room to create a home-away-home feeling during their stay.”

Dao West London has 74 high quality serviced apartments with stylish bedrooms, a living space and a kitchenette - and you can bring your pet too!. Overlooking Shepherds Bush Green, and just a 5-minute walk from Westfield Shopping Centre and the vibrant White City area, it’s a great location for those on business or leisure.

Room rates start from £200 on a B&B basis.
