Peat-free sales get serious

Serious gardeners buying peat free composts at high levels continues again with Westland’s New Horizon 60 litres almost selling as many units as Jack’s Magic 60 litres.

With a major ad campaign planned for next year, word of mouth from these serious gardeners buying and using peat free now could mean sales really start to grow in 2020.

Highlights of the week were:

  • Bark and ground cover lines sold well last week with Westland Landscape Bark,100 litres, climbing 27 places to No 9.
  • Alongside the continued growth of houseplant sales, Growth Technology Citrus Focus Repotting Mix is a new entry to the GTN chart at No 47.
  • And for the first time ever a terrarium specific product makes it into the chart – Fallen Fruits Terrarium Soil enters at No 50.
