Town & Country has received a Which? Gardening expert recommendation for its Master Gardener bypass secateurs.
Twelve products were tested for the December issue of Which? Gardening magazine, with each pair subjected to laboratory and garden testing by experts and an ergonomist.
Town & Country’s multi-purpose bypass secateurs were recommended by the ergonomist for people with weak grips.
“This unusual pair has rounded handles that are long enough for most hands, with comfortable, easy-grip rubber sleeves, “ she said “A hook on the lower handle makes them secure to hold. You don’t need too much pressure on the handles to make a cut, even on dead wood. The safety catch is large and simple to operate.”
The by-pass is one of part of five models in Town & Country’s collection of Master Gardener secateurs, which also includes anvil and precision secateurs. They feature stainless steel or chrome plated carbon steel blades, built-in safety catch and comfort grip handles.
There is still time for retailers to take delivery of the range, which comprises a fully stocked revolving merchandiser made up of 42 items across the five different products (three secateurs and two snips). With each deal sold, Town & Country has pledged to donate £25 to the Greenfingers charity.
