Veg plant sales were the star performers, despite the cold and wet weather, for the first week of May, up by 15% on the same week last year whereas all plant sales were 15% down.
Year to date, Veg-2-Gro sales are up 60% on last year thanks to the better weather in March but also over 6% up on 2017.
Highlights were:
- Quantil’s Courgette plants top the GTN Bestsellers Chart, taking over at No 1 from Tomato Gardeners Delight.
- Quantil Tomato Riesling New 8.5cm is a new entry at No 40.
- Quantil Carrot Chantenay Strips climb 13 places to No 33.
