Thomas Broom-Hughes, former head of horticulture at Petersham Nurseries, has been named as the new head of retail at RHS Garden Wisley.
He has worked in horticulture and floristry for the past 11 years and established the School of Garden Inspiration at Petersham, bringing horticulture and floristry experiences and classes to customers. He is also writes a gardening column for House & Garden online.
Broom-Hughes, who succeeds Elizabeth Oddy, will be charge of the rebuilt front entrance garden retail development at Wisley. The new Welcome Building, part of a £22m project, officially opens on 10 June.
