February sales down but gardening sectors are up...
Overall February garden centre sales were down on last year but 3% above the average for the previous six years, according to EPOS data analysis by GTN Bestsellers.
Gardening sectors fared best with the GTN Top 50 Growing Media and Garden Products indices up 9% on last year, and our Top 50 Veg-2-Gro Products index static year on year.
That all bodes well for a great year of plant and gardening sales – all we need is some great weather during March to make the most of it.

- Growing Media - up 10%
- All Items Index - down 3%
