The Garden Centre Association unveiled its winners for the North Thames region during a presentation at Poplars Garden Centre on Monday. Perrywood Garden Centre – Tiptree won Garden Centre of the Year in the Destination Garden Centre category while Squires Garden Centre – Shepperton picked up the accolade in the Garden Centre category.

The North East and North West regional GCA awards were presented at Bents Garden & Home yesterday (Tuesday). The North East’s Garden Centre of the Year in the Destination Garden Centre category was Tong Garden Centre and Cowell’s Garden Centre in the Garden Centre category. In the North West, Barton Grange Garden Centre and Fron Goch Garden Centre received the accolade.

Notcutts has recorded strong profit growth in the year ending February 2019 with operating profit up 52.5% to £1.5m. Gross margin improved by 0.6% points to 47.5% and stock turn improved from 3.4 to 3.9 during the year...
