Essex garden centre Summerhill says its Christmas launch over the August Bank Holiday weekend – an annual ritual for them –  went  “a bit bananas!”

A press release and photos to the local paper resulted in BBC Essex radio and ITV News asking for interviews and footage.

They kicked off with a launch video on Facebook that has reached more than 47,000 people to date. You can check it out here.

Customers were offered a ‘10% off ‘ vouchers if they spent more than £50, valid for their next purchase of Christmas products through September.
